A short note on affiliates and rebates

YOU SHOULD NEVER USE YOUR OWN AFFILIATES TO ORDER PRODUCTS FOR YOURSELF.
This is against many proper brands Terms of Service and they WILL PERMANENTLY BAN YOU IF YOU TRY TO DO SO.
Mind your own business:
It is a common pitfall all new youtubers fall into who will read something in a comment that's unrelated to what they are doing and start looking into what the other guy asked.
This can be especially attractive if you're a new youtuber with only a few subscribers and maybe that's the only comment. It's what I fell into and even made a one-to-one talking system for people which ultimately ruined my health and the reputation of the channel which I am working so hard to fix now.
Mind your own damn business. Focus on what you are here on YouTube for and stick to it even if the views, likes, comments are low or even non-existent.
Find your USP and stay away from deals/cashbacks and money saving tactics. Don't ever let that be your USP.
I fell into this trap, videos prior to 2025, you will see all I was doing was being laser focussed on the price instead of actually letting people know what they're buying, is it even worth buying.
It took a long time for me to rebuild the channel into something that completely ignores the price and reviews product for whata it is, simply because I understand Tech at a deeper level than your averagae youtuber who has the product.
I built that literally over decades of research. I remember back in first year in college 2011 in PG a senior who let me use his laptop once watched me for about an hour and then concluded: "The fuck this guy keeps doing on the laptop? It makes no fucking sense." It made sense to me becase even back then I was researching technology as much as I could and mainly because I loved it. GUess that is what the next point is.
Every field has a money saving stuff. Don't talk about it at all. Stay away from it as a decent enough AI will replace you immediately.
You can only be a successful youtuber in things you genuinely love and care about
It can be fucking anything, dance, music, reading stock maarket, teaching other kids, telling people aabout scaams, tech reviews, in depth guides, sharing youir weightloss journey, coming out as a HLGBTQ person, reaading a poem, writing a story, vlogging, blogging, cooking something, boxing, doing sports, seeking advice, acting...
It doesn't matter what the topic is, it HAS to be something you genuinely care about and genuinely love. You can't fake it. Really you can't. It seeps right through you.
People won't be able to point out what's off with your video but they can feel if someone is not genuine without realizing it.

You can't let numbers influence you.
Shorts, recommended videos and the home page videos are literal cancer for you and thankfully for that you can simply install Unhook YouTube.
Use ublock Origin extension and manually disable these things via custom filter to keep a clear mind:

First page that manipulates you into thinking your video did good. The whole Youtube creator sectoin and even the comments section, yes.

If you have multiple youtube accounts, which you should have, one regional that is specific to a region and another English channel that benefits everyone, you should disable the number of subscribers you see.

Even in Content Tab which you will see on a regular basis, you should disable all No. of Views, Comments, likes and dislikes

Since you have to opne your videos to add pinned comments and confirm some stuff, disable these numbers there also

Stop consuming, start creating: I am hoping you are alredy in a job or learning somtehign to get a job like in a college or school which means most of your time goes into doing those. You really can't spare any other time for consuming enternatiment like gaming, movies, party stuff and all.
Yes, it's a sacrifice you have to make, atleast until the youtube channel is big enough that it can self sustaion.
I remember my sister telling me always to take a break because I was so involved in my youtube chaannels back in 2022 and 2023 and with a job already I had very very little time to play.
Only time I had for gaming was when I tested games myself.
You can't create something if all you do all day is mindlessly consume consume.
I know it doens't sound realistic but atleast try to do so.

Moral Issue

You have heard this all the time thrown around that you should sorround yourself with people who are more intelligent than you, there is a slight moral problem with that.

The problem with sorrounding yourself with people who are smarter than you is very risky because "They are smarter than you." And smart people with no morals will not care what happens to other people and certainly not someone whose not smarter than them.
This is something you learn very quickly if you live in a country like India where you have to be on the lookout always so that others don't try to scam you.
Intelligent people hide thier intelligence, hide what they know and WILL NOT EXTEND THEIR help.

First, such people can go fuck themselves. I know quite a lot of people who when I was really confused in life what to do with it back in college could have put me in the right track if they had spared just an hour of their life, but they decided not to, not even when I asked them point blank. These sons of bitches only care about themselves and you should actively assume that these people are actually dead. Life will be much much easier.

You are the smartest one

Assuming you're not an idiot who just thinks that he is the smartest.
It can very well be that the things you're interested in, there literally isn't anyone in your whole city who might be interested in it.
In that case, yes, for that particular thing you might actually be the smartest one.
