On my WebOS TV(Might have RTD1295/6 SoC(4 x A53 + Mali MP2))without jailbreaking/rooting so warranty is intact.
Arguments:
First Person Shooters(FPS)→ Games where you see via the player's eyes. Here flicking to the exact spot on the screen matters above everything. Some examples are CS, Valorant & even PUBG.
Yup, as it says, moving from keyboard for racing to a gamepad will take some time but having those analog triggers and analog sticks to adjust how much you want to accelrate and how much you want to turn makes all the difference.
And if your controller supports good vibrations, it's cherry on top.
Games like GTA V, Mafia where you not only drive cars but also shoot a lot, best work with a hybrid setup. Use mouse/keyboard for FPS sections and Game Controller
FPS games with mouse/keyboard only
Yes, you can play a get good with a controller, but by that logic, you can also get good with a pen tablet but everytime there is shooting mechanic in a game and you have some sort of freedom(ignoring turn based games here), using a mouse makes a lot more sense and is so much more easier to do with it.
Sure, there are a few games where the precision is not necessary or shooting isn't really the focus but it's just a frustrating experience if shooting becomes important.
Just to be clear, I still kept trying to play such FPS games with controllers and even on phones with gyro and controllers and on TVs also, it's just so much of a frustrating experience that it's not worth it. Just stick to mouse/keyboard and avoid these games if you don't have access to mouse/keyboard at all.
Also, I am aware of aim-assist and even gyro and even touch controls but it's not just a fun experience.
Racing Games works best with Gampads→ Having a Gamepad/Controller in your setup is a no-brainer considering many games are made for consoles first and they
Racing+FPS/TPS hybrids best work with both a mouse/keybaord & Controller Combos
When you have free access to all games like in a subscription, all you want to do is try the best and the most popular or the best looking games online, which I completely understand as I used to do that.
The problem was due to this we just kept installing and keeping many games at the time and the nervousness I felt was not worth it so I stopped doing that.
Even with cloud streaming where you don't have to download the game, if you are not careful you will end up jumping between games instead of giving a game your proper time.
If I don't own(license of course, no one's selling physical media for PC Games) a PC game, I don't play it anymore and ever since I have done that, I had to go back to my steam library to find that I actually had great games in my library like Yakuza 0 which I am playing as of Dec 2025 and that's what I am continuing to do.
If the game shows up with a cursor and has management like Age of Empires, Hospital Management games and so much other games where clicking different part of the screens quickly becomes important, you need to play them on PC.
I am done with all mobile gaming in general and so should you, and here's why.
Mobile Gaming has become the epitome(perfect example) of all predatory practice simulator where 95% of the games exist to just ruin you somehow(financially or mentally). In a better run world most mobile games would be straight up banned. Anyways, since you're here, here are a few things that will genuinely help. Games to play:
Most of these below require some sort of Mobile Gamepad.
Games to Avoid:
Why even good games that are free to try buy have In-App purchases should be avoided:
Buying the game from the store is fine but downloading a free game and then paying later inside the game is not fine. This has a lot of problems like
Management Games work best with mouse/keyboard. Games that show up with a cursor

Mobile Games- What to avoid & What to play.
Very few touch games on Switch/DS/3DS emulation can work without it but the games are very littlePlay games via emulation
Yup, that's the answer. Just download an emulator and play older games depending on how powerful your phone is.
Newer Switch and Steam Windows Emulation(WinLator, GameHub, GameNative) can be too tough on most phones and will require active cooling(External fans/peltier cooling attached to phone) just to keep the temperatures under control.
However older PS1, PSP, DS, 3DS titles will be very easy on any decent enough phones so it will require some testing to find the best for you.
Now, for those older titles even though they are far better than current mobile games, avoiding some specific genre completely will be covered below in the general section.
Avoid any games with "In-App Purchases" regardless of if they are free/paid or how good a game they are
There are a lot of good games that are actually free to try but you have to go in game to pay for the full version. For example: The Walking Dead Series, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge
This actually happened in the excellent game: The Walking Dead Michonne.
"Edit: 12/24 issue still not fixed.
Similar issues with TWD 3 (New Beginning) I purchased the full game pass a long time ago and recently reinstalled the game on a whim.
But now I can't access any episodes after the first one.
They all say "purchased, coming soon!" But I've literally already played them before,so I don't understand.
I've uninstalled the game and restarted my phone, cleared caches and checked permissions. I'm at a total loss.
It's very frustrating.
I feel like I've wasted money.""
When the prices are online, they are subject to this regional pricing and of course discounts and even as much as I hate subscription, via Play Pass.
Yes, literally any game that says "Contains Ads" just avoid it completely.
