Rent-a-Tech General Idea

When I was a kid this Pan Shop used to rent comics to kids at Re.1 or Rs.2 per day per comics about 20-25 years ago. He used to take security but I never had the money for the security to be able to rent the comics.

So, that's what I want to do. Imagine paying for tech at a very nominal price per-day maybe.
And before you scream your heart out that you hate subscriptions, which you clearly don't hate as much as I do, here's the twist:
When and if the total rent amount equals the total price of the product, it becomes yours.
Sort of like mortgage I guess but it's not a binding contract. You are done with the product, send it back.

For now it's in closed beta that means I am testing it with a select few people, mostly people who contacted me or those who I know for a long time via comments and DMs.

1. Everything will be send via IndiaPost Parcel Only from both me to you and you to me

   Why? India Post has improved a lot and with proper packaging(They don't ship products if the outside packaging advertises something, put a brown paper bag or a polythene packet) and with online tracking, it's the cheapest way to send a product.
   As much as I want to use courier, remember, it's about reducing the cost of the product you pay on it.

2. Prices once fixed won't be increased later.

   As it says. No exceptions.

3. Shipping Charges will be handled by me not you as long IndiaPost's Parcel is used

   I have not completely decided how I will implement this but I do know I hate paying for shipping for a product when I buy it and I don't want to do the same for renting also.
   Maybe I will incorporate the price of the shipping+packaging(which you will re-use) into the base price of the product.

4. If total rent amount equals the cost of the product+shipping, you own the product

   As it says in the title. No clarification needed.

5. [Undecided] Getting full payment up-front(for security) or later.

   It makes sense to not charge the whole amount right not but charge it later as those who can pay the whole amount right now might as well buy the products for themselves(Not for products from Alibaba though as individual purchases are very expensive but bulk is cheaper).
   However, if I don't know who the person is I can't just keep giving stuff away and hope the other person doesn't just keep the product and ignores me and then tell everyone proudly how he scammed me(Indian practice: Where the more someone can scam someone else especially the government, the stud he become. I am breaking this practice but it's still what it is).
   
   But for closed beta at least I won't charge upfront. We will see what happens later.
