Also, most importantly, I have heard shopkeepers in Nehru Place say that parts availability on Gigabyte laptops are close to zero. Since I plan on keeping a laptop for well over 5 years, this is important to me.

1) Warranty is carry-in. NO in-home service.
2) Service center are only few.
3) Collection centers are also few. They ship your laptop to Service center and bring it back after repairs.
4) You can upgrade RAM/SSD by yourself. No warranty void stickers.
5) I can see laptops with 2 years warranty by default. But check for yourself before ordering.
6) Selling only online(Flipkart/Amazon) or through it's own offline centers. No online shop of gigabyte itself.
7) Parts availability: Offline third party repair shops say that the parts are impossible to come buy but the call center of Gigabyte said they can procure it through it's HQ in Taiwan. Don't know if the cost of parts will be reasonable for now or not.
8) You can't buy extra warranty or any ADP. Some Google Reviews that are alarming. To be clear, such negative reviews are common place in India:
