The problems with cooling pads

These pictures aren’t with extended usage but only after a few days of usage, yes, a few days. And there in lies the biggest problem with them, the increase air-flow, that’s the basic principle with them, however, if they aren’t in an air-conditioned room, which in turn means a lot of outside air, and if you are in a third-world country, dust is hard to avoid. These increase the dust accumulating in your laptop and hence it means that you have to clean the laptop more often than you would have.

Here are some older pics with some weeks of usage:

This is the reason I wasn’t recommending laptop cooling pads at all in the past few years because people barely clean their laptops every few months, I don’t think they would clean it every few weeks.

The solution is a cooling pad where you can change the dust filter without much hassle just like one would with an air-conditioner something I showed in this short.

This next cooling pad: Techie TurboCooler on amazon: https://amzn.to/4i2CTBd looks at first glance to have both, the foam on it and the exchangeable dust filter, the problem with this cooler is that it has a very little air-flow and if you add a dust filter, the air-flow reduces further and reviews do mention the same too that there is no noticeable difference at all. The idea is nice but I am unsure how is it in practice because the main reason for me to get the Fourdot one was simply, high air-flow so that if I decided to go with a dust filter on top of this cooler, it won’t be as bad due to the high air-flow.
