Why do I even bother with this laptop when I don't recommend these 100%?

As I have mentioned before Thinkpads are the only non-gaming laptops I recommend to buy as New ;). And so this question needs to be addressed first before going into the preview of this laptop at all.

Well, the simple answer is the Thinkpad I recommend in this price range of 50-60k is simply out of stock and has been for some time. The newer Thinkpad E series don't have the 100% sRGB in this range. If it ever comes back in stock, I will put a link and note it here.

Also, this Ideapad Slim does come with three years ADP and I don't recommend thin and light laptops without ADP(Thinkpads are an exception), this might be the laptop worth considering but remember as I said before, if a Thinkpad with 100% sRGB comes in stock, that will immediately be a default recommendation.

• Soldered 16GB RAM is a big problem because it is AMD CPU. As you all know AMD reserves a huge amount of RAM for graphics and on top of that Windows 11 keeps getting bloated and bloated with every update. This means less than 8GB RAM might be available for normal tasks which will only keep getting smaller and smaller.
