Why this and Alternatives.

The whole reason to pick up these Omen laptops is because to my mind it looks like these laptops will go for sale well under the current 110k for 7840HS-4060 & 167k for 7940HS-4070 because:
a) There is a lot of stock and these are old now.
b) India is famous for laptop companies just dumping faulty units to. These have some flaws as mentioned in the Online Review section below.

How much? I can't say for certain but I expect the first one to go under 100k or even close to 90k with all offers on amazon. And the second one for around 125k. That's the whole reason to pick it up.

VERY IMPORTANT CAUTION

If ADP of three years is not available in future like it is now by getting from Amazon, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANY HP LAPTOPS ANYMORE. Like it was earlier, they didn't allow ADP if you got the laptop from other sites at all. For now, at least they are providing ADP if you get it from Amazon AND NOT FLIPKART(Hence I didn't even include the link so that people don't accidentally buy it from there). Laptop Preview

Pros

• Pretty good performance just beaten by Legion Pro 5 with the same specs.
• Large thick fan modules due to which CPU throttles to 78°C and GPU to 82°C which is quite good.
• 5+ hours of battery life in low usage is pretty good for a gaming laptop.→ Needs confirmation.
• Stable continuous performance.
• Two RAM.

Neutral

• No creaking or visual defects when twisting lid.
• 100% sRGB and 70% AdobeRGB/DCI-P3.→ Enough for gamers, lacking for color accurate work.
• No PWM.
• SSD isn't the best.
• Body of laptop heats up a bit.
• Good enough speakers in class.
• Included power brick is pretty fine..
• Keyboard and touchpad are alright.

Cons

• Display wobbles with ceiling fan.
• 2x8GB stick so one will go to waste when upgrading RAM which might be closer than you think this being AMD.
• Big laptop still no Numpad.
• No USB 4.
• One SSD Slot.

Online Reviews

CRITICAL NOTE: The Amazon listing is mixed with an older full keyboard sized/ports on the back model and the one sold now is the new one which means there aren't many reviews for the newer model without the keyboard. You can only trust the model without the extra keyboard or no ports at the back and those that don't have the pictures, it's risky.

These needs to be reviewed

Positive

1. People got it cheap for like 90k so they are happy... initially.
2. Good thermals and performance.

Neutral

1. Stick to Clicktech Retail Pvt. Ltd. for purchase of this laptop and be sure to call HP before and confirming ADP is available.
2. Some models can have backlight issues but that is common with IPS models.

Negative

1. Laptops Dead on Arrival being replaced with other faulty laptops. HP is still new to me so I don't have any ideas on what to do to make them give service faster but I am planning to find them.
2. Display Wobbles: even in ceiling fan.
3. SSD Speed is more like Gen 3.
4. No Advanced Optimus→ Restart required when changing mux.
5. Body is mostly plastic except for the aluminium lid.
6. Motherboard could be tweaked HP Victus one.
7. Maybe old mode only but replacement motherboard isn't available and it can take upto 2 months for replacement motherboard. 
8. HP Support is pathetic.
9. Replacement motherboards are also faulty on the older model.
10. Hall Sensor Issue but only with ports on the back: Hall Sensor(Or Lid-close sensor) is close to GPU which can easily fry itself in under a year of usage. Since this is a design flaw, replacement units will have the same issue.
    1. You can remove the cable for the hall sensor down the line or just remove the power plan setting to do nothing when the lid is down or maybe change setting from registry(My speculation: Unconfirmed).
