People say it's hard to carry headphones while travelling and that might be true and I thought the same and so I kept using IEMs myself until I came across Tribit XFree Go's picture while looking for headphones and it's portable design.
And I thought to myself if it can be done with this headphones, surely I can do it with my headphones. So I did as you can see in these pictures taken over the years:
In Delhi Metro's Platform: At a local restaurant in Delhi:
In Delhi Metro: In a general coach in Indian Railways:
I am talking about budget headphones that don't have active noise cancellation or aren't so tight you can't hear your surroundings. OneOdio Pro M was one of those where even if something was playing on the headphones, I could still hear my surrounding. Big Big change from ear plugs and IEMs where I can't hear anything. Becomes a safety concern because outside is where you generally take out earphones.
Comments for the same here.
