Cautions: VVI before you buy
- Battery drain issue: 30-40% drain in an hour is a major issue. There are many many recent reviews confirming the same.
and I need an update on this before I can even recommend this. It's in itself enough of a deal-breaker. DO NOT BUY THIS TABLET IF THE TABLET CAN'T EVEN LAST 6-10 HOURS. - Included Lenovo Tab Pen requires AAAA battery whose rechargeable variants aren't cheap if even available. The non-rechargeable ones are dodgy and I can't confirm if they will last long. Alternative pens don't seem to work.
For this reason it seems better to get an alternative accessory from a decent brand just like every other Lenovo accessories LOL.
Lenovo Tab Pen Plus is rechargeable but isn't included. - Not all models are 5G or have stylus pen included in them. Cross-check properly what you're ordering.
- Store Apps for tablets aren't as huge as Phone and you will HAVE TO DOWNLOAD through other stores or APKs which is fine, the problem is, Google is planning to kill this feature completely soon. What can you do? → Compare with iPads also.
- One review mentioned when adding a case which was recommended on lenovo.com didn't fit the tablet which he was buying.
- Don't buy the tablet hoping you will get a keyboard case. Confirm it's availability before buying this as the official Lenovo keyboard isn't available for this but it's availabe for the Ideatab Pro
Summary/Purchase Decision Videos
-
The reason to buy a tablet in the 20-25k+ range comes with expectations of higher performance and a great stylus experience, both of which are terrible on this tablet. My suggestion is to push more and got for a much better device or just let go off the stylus on this and drop down to a non-stylus device. Or just look for some other tablet I guess.
- I would not recommend the base variant of this tablet at more than ₹15k. That's where this tablet seems to be. Pay a few thousand extra for the 5G but that's it.
- Those who buy this only expecting an average experience like many students but not looking for anything great are mostly fine with it and the reason why this has pretty good ratings.

Pros/Cons
Pros
- Build Quality is pretty good. Slim aesthetic feel. Lightweight for this size of a tablet
- Negligible bloatware with the tablet.
- Display quality is really good and bright. 1600p high resolution is really good for documents and media consumption
- Speakers are really good.
- Processor is a bit weka. It can hang while using multiple apps.
Neutral
Neutral-Good
- 5G variant has calling feature
Neutral-Doesn't Matter
- To Check: Battery backup lasts really long or really short
- To check: Slight Lag when using pen or no lag at all. Mixed Reviews.
- To check: Handles multi-tasking effectively or is laggy. Mixed Reviews but emotions might be taking over here.
- To check: One reviewer said he couldn't run Nebo or Squid Note taking apps. Tablet Store are of course differnet but you can still download the apk by side-loading atleast until Google allows it.
- To check: Some older reviews mentions software bugs and glitches but recent reviews don't so I am assuming this was patched up.
- To check: Is the SD Card slot available in all models?
- To check: Battery drains fast for some reason and is really inconsistent: sometimes it lasts long sometimes the same app drains the battery harshly: 40% in a hour while reading PDFs. Even with everything off, wifi, GPS, SIM and black and white mode: it still can eat up like 30% of the battery in an hour.
Neutral-Bad
- Included Folio case is unintuitive to use and can't be used in portrait mode.
- Adding the keyboard makes it quite heavy.
- Included pen is not the best quality while also being non-rechargeable. Also third party accessories might not work.
- Included pen can't be attached to the tablet and has to be carried separately.
- Post sales service isn't good.
Cons
- Processor isn't the best. It's alright for normal browsing or media but anything beyond that it starts to stutter, overheats and lags.
- Battery Drains quickly.
- Pen writing is very unresponsive, slow and writing is not smooth.
- Camera quality is terrible.
- No haptic feedback/vibration and torch!
- No fingerprint scanner.
- To check: Heating Issues!
- Accessories like Keyboard with the special pin, and pen is not easily available in market.
- Live Video calls: Whatsapp/Zoom call have very low sound and impossible to hear the other person.
- GPS tracking is pretty bad and some say it doesn't even work.
- Speakers aren't loud.
