Lenovo's Idea Tab Pro 8-128 WiFi+Tab Pen Plus

Amazon India Link (Replacement issues on defective devices), Lenovo India Link

Important purchase notes:

Pros:

  1. Pen is included and works out of the box. Display is TDDI so proper pen NOT some capacitive ones that are cheap.
  2. Comes with PC mode to be a bit more productive.
  3. Display resolution is high but brightness is just okay.
  4. Sound is pretty good.
  5. Performance is pretty good for the price: PS2 games can be emulated properly. N64 games can also be emulated with upscale as shown video.
  6. External Monitor Support as shown here.
  7. No haptic feedback or vibration motor but most tablets are like that.
  8. Battery life is good.

Neutral:

  1. No SIM Card at this price point.
  2. Comes with useless apps but can be uninstalled.
  3. It is a huge 13" device. It's not meant for one-handed use and also it's heavy. It's neither a good or a bad thing but something you should consider.
  4. Play Store on these Android tablets are severly limited but you can just download the apk for some apps and use that instead. I have to confirm this on this device though. I have seen that being the case with a Motorola and a Redmi tablet though.
  5. Smart connect feature to use this as an external display and a bunch of other things.

Cons:

  1. Fucking weird position of the pen which can only be snapped on the back of the device and not on the sides.
  2. Two years support only and it comes with Android 14 so only until Android 16 but there are 4 years of security updates unlike Samsung which gives more.
  3. Lenovo isn't known for it's good service, certainly not as good as Samsung and if you don't buy especially if you buy from Amazon.
  4. Charger heats up.
