Important Stuff
This is a laptop full of compromises, compromises which makes this laptop cheap. If you are fine with the compromises, then this laptop is for you.
Great specs for the ~80k price but there is a reason it's cheap, some of those reasons are:
Gigabyte Brand. Make sure you are fine with the brand before buying .
Compromises:
Low Quality Build. → Long term usage is questionable .
Bad keyboard, touchpad.
Horrible Display.
People who got it and knew what they were getting were pretty happy with the machine.
I think it's best for tinkerers, who don't mind fixing stuff on their own if needed. People who rip the warranty stickers(if any) on the first day of getting the machine. Can replace thermal paste on their own and buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse setup and use it in desktop mode most of the time.
Alternate Legion with the same specs that costs ~100k.
Pros and Cons
Pros
4060 is 105W.
16:10 display with 165Hz.
Many ports:
100W PD Charging. Type C support.
Display port 1.4 output on the other usb c port.
Four Exhaust outlet
Good battery life on iGPU under normal workload 6 hours.
Two years warranty
CPU GPU stays cool while gaming. ~80°C
Neutral
Good:
Upgradability
Two SSD full size slots with official written 4TB Support. (Many laptops support it but brands don't often test it with higher capacity).
Two RAM slots for upgradability with official support written as 64GB.
No PWM so no headaches on long term usage.
Included SSD ihas decent speeds.
HDMI Connects directly to the dGPU.
Neither good neither bad:
Okay okay speaker.
Okay okay webcam and microphone.
Bad:
Both slots are used for RAM so you will have to discard one RAM when you want to upgrade.
Weird arrow placement on keyboard.
63% sRGB.
Lot of noise from fan which is expected.
Barebone BIOS. People usually expect MSI and Gigabyte laptops to have advanced bios options but sadly it's not here.
Cons
CPU throttles when running CPU heavy applications.
Intel HX CPU so expect peak CPU Package temps to hit 100 degrees although the core temps long term are still good.
Display color accuracy is horrible.
Not for high FPS Gamers if using the laptop display:
Ghosting in the display so you can't play high FPS games with the display it comes at.
High latency in display.
Wi-Fi is dodgy. Some places outside India have the best wifi but in Indian models it's horrible.
Switching between dGPU and iGPU requires a restart.
Long term is questionable:
Whole body has a lot of flex.
Keyboard is terrible. It flexes while typing.
Mousepad is okay.
