Q.1. Do I have to read/listen the books if I have already watched the TV Series and Movies?
Ans. Yes, explained here.
I do listen to audiobooks while travelling via Audible, but you can get one book free with a trail on your debit card and then refund it and keep the book forever. Here are some I recommend based on the depth of the books:
Light, breezy books. Easy to understand, quick takeaways, no effort needed. A splash of knowledge — no swimming required.
Narnia: Audiobooks Books → Really really fun listen even if you're an adult.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl: Audiobooks Books → Absolutely joyous to read even for an adult.
Trouble making or leaving habits: The Power of Habit : By: Charles Duhigg
If you think happiness should be after success: The Happiness Advantage: By: Shawn Achor
Had a hard breakup?: Daring Greatly By: Brené Brown
A bit deeper. Still beginner-friendly but with more substance and structure. You’re wading in now — still safe, but starting to learn.
Harry Potter Series → About friendship and day to day life of students. Brings joys to faces. (Audiobooks by Stephen Fry is excellent. Although you can still get the physical books.)
Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption By Stephen King: Audiobooks Books →
For those new to listening audiobooks: Be Brilliant Every Day By: Andy Whittaker, Andy Cope
If you think you can't be a leader: Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek:
Balanced depth. Real content, useful frameworks, and examples. You’re swimming — not floating, not drowning.
Recursion by Blake Crouch → Time and memory are being weaponized. Deep sci-fi with emotional core — think Dark mixed with Nolan’s Inception or Interstellar.
Financial Literacy: Rich Dad Poor Dad
If you feel out of place amongst your friends/family: Quiet By: Susan Cain
Dare and courage: Think and Grow Rich
The power of truth: My Experiments with Truth By: Mohandas K. Gandhi
Insight-heavy. Demands focus and often repeat listening. Strong currents of thought — best for experienced swimmers.
Those unable to find their passion: No Fears, No Excuses By: Larry Smith
Deepest level. Philosophical, complex, or mind-shifting. Full immersion — for those who seek the ocean floor.
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
No words: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance By: Robert M. Pirsig
If you feel you're too poor: Down and out in Paris and London By: George Orwell
