Lost 3 kgs for the first time in 12 years

Ever since 2012 I have been slowly gaining weight and no matter what I did has backfired[1].

I tried everything from intermittent fasting, three days fasting, rejoining gym, walking, running, special diets and a lot of things that I don't remember anymore. What I do remember is all of them without doubt backfired. Either it got so tough that I gave up or they increased my weight further. It has been a constant struggle.

This mainly started around the time when I used to do Parkour Training and Boxing in 2012 which I used to do regularly along with gym weights at home. I had a lot of free time so I poured myself into these. I was slim and handsome and didn't really need to do anything to lose any weight at all but there are reasons that left me with this and I just started doing these all day long. The problem happened when the college load became so much that I had to give up these things altogether.

This is the reason why so many athletes gain weight after their career ends. Their appetite slowly increases to accomodate for the higher burning calories and when you leave gym suddenly, your appetite still remains the same. To this day, I tell kids joining gym to stick to it for life or don't go there at all.

Anyways, not the point. The point is last year I got the cycle and I was so happy and I was convinced that I will lose weight due to it but it only increased my weight again and again. I am not sure what is going on. It's as if if the body realizes it's going into the same old 2012 parkour-heavy-fitness mode, it suddenly starts demanding more and more food.

Just now I had food two hours ago and I am still very very full. However the body demands the food as if it was some drug or something. I tricked it by saying let's get into bed, if we really can't sleep and are really hungry we will come back.

Before leaving however I checked my weight there which I was avoiding checking on purpose for the past few days because whenever I checked my weight I saw it go up again and again and it made me more sad. The last time I checked my weight it was about 10 days ago. Today I checked the weight and to my surprise I have lost 3 kgs.

I have never lost so much weight in such a little time. Sure due to water and food weight my actual weight sways by a kg either ways but recently I have started to only weigh myself when I full with food and water so this is the worst weight.

I don't want to jinx what is helping me right now so I won't tell you but if this thing that I am doing helps me get under double digits weight in kgs, I will. I used to be 66kgs in 2012 with 168cm to 107kgs in 2024 end and by this time I had lost all hope of ever losing weight.

P.S: No it's not as simple to lose weight especially for me. It's not the battle with the body but with the mind that has issues.

Extra Notes

1) Apart for the time I got sick and wasn't eating anything and was living on glucose in which I did lose about 4-5 kgs but quickly gained it back as soon as I was fit.

Please don't advice on losing weight if you have never been Obese Class 2 yourself and gone back to Normal BMI and kept it. Other comments are fine.
