Due to a few youtube members(one of them being my sister) keeps on being a member evenwhen I ask them not to, the spikes are actually their payment and not something I did. The other spikes are superthanks and other stuff.

I am well aware that other channels have a higher money per views but remember, I give everything away either in the title or thumbnial or the website or all of them so there is no "hook" or clickbait involved. I even add timestamps when I can.
My thinking is that if this video is not for you, you should know it as soon as possible.
People told me how they found my channel via shorts but in my experience, normal videos are just fine.

Affiliates are the primary way a small content creator makes money. It's not ad-revenue, it's affiliates and if the whole system has been compromised, everything falls apart.
Well, not atleast all the coupon/deals/savings extensions/website has cropped up and I suspect even websites/extensions that look harmless are all designed to steal money from you as explained in Affilaite Stats page.
Don't bother with affiliate marketing until such predatory behaviour is deemed illegal in court and some genuine steps are taken against it.
